Wine Club Review

Wednesday, January 30, 2008

Here is an interesting review I found this week from the Wine Club.

Château Plaisance 2000 St. Emilion Grand Cru:

  • "Talk about value, this St. Emilion is a classic example of how great wine need not be expensive. The nose of berry fruit, tobacco smoke and toasty oak make the taste buds melt. This medium-full bodied wine is silky on the palate and offers more smoky berry flavors with some nice spice notes from the well-integrated oak. Already drinking well this wine should provide a lot of enjoyment over the next 10 to 15 years. It finishes with a silky tannin structure that gives structure without being intrusive. It will impress you as much as it did me. Cheers!" -- Reviewed by Kevin Copek, San Francisco of Team Picks by The Wine Club.

Many thanks to Kevin Copek for this review.
