As the work in the field continues in preparation for spring growth, it is obvious that the wine is made in the field. Caring for the vines is our primary concern. The quality of the work in the fields can never be underestimated. Attention to detail is reflected in the wine produced.
Once harvest time comes the wine that is made from those grapes is pretty much set.
The characteristics of that juice can be enhanced by the methods used during fermentation and by the aging process in the barrels. No amount of effort can force bad grapes to make good wine.
High quality grapes from healthy plants are essential to make a fine wine.
