Last week the excavation for the new building made for a dramatic change in the landscape and gave us a positive mindset. Progress is vital for the sake of the wine. The week ended with our 2005 Château Haut-Meynard Bordeaux Superior receiving a gold medal. We had felt that all of our efforts had gone unrecognized, but now we are becoming more visible, and feel even more validated and inspired to make Plaisance the best possible.

Today we prepare for the final blending of 2006. We have confidence in the expertise of our oenologist, Jean Philippe Fort. His talent and experience, plus the award we just received, shows that he is on the mark. We look forward to bottling and presenting the 2006 vintage.
